Sustainable Fuels For Aviation In Europe

On 27 November 2019, the full-day final event of EU H2020 project FlightPath ‘Sustainable Fuels for Aviation in Europe’ took place in ARC offices in Brussels. The fully sold-out conference was jointly organised by the European Commission, SENASA, FlightPath, ARTFuels and Airport Regions Conference.


The event gathered over 200 attendees including airlines, airports, private sector representatives, European Commission officials, cities and regions representatives, social society and policy-makers. The programme sessions included the speakers from all over Europe – private sector representatives as well as representatives of the European Institutions. Among them, there were names like Haitze Siemers – HoU DG Energy, Andrés Arranz Stancel – SENASA's President, Flor Diaz Pulido – HoU Aviation Policy, DG MOVE and Robert Missen – HoU Innovative & Research, DG MOVE. The topics touched upon in the conference included policy framework regarding sustainable aviation fuel, study results prepared by ARTFuels and case studies presented by the keynote speakers. Various presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions led the event to be an interesting and insightful discussion for all.
