The European Commissioner for Transport, Violeta Bulc, has called 2018 the year of multimodality. In 2019, the LAirA project partnership wants to continue in that direction, aspiring to a future of low-emission mobility.

In the framework of the Interreg Central Europe project LAirA (Landside Airport Accessibility), the Airport Regions Conference, the LAirA communication partner, is delighted to invite you to a public conference on the topic of sustainable mobility in airport areas: Towards smart and low carbon mobility. The conference will take place in Brussels, on 23 January 2019, from 09:30 to 16:00, at the Airport Regions Conference offices (Rue Montoyer 21, 1000), 1st-floor conference room.

This event will foster an exchange of ideas on sustainable transport modes. It will be a unique opportunity to engage with local and regional authorities from Central Europe and to benefit from the knowledge generated in the LAirA project. The audience will be comprised of local and regional public authorities, European policy-makers, airports, and infrastructure and service providers.
The LAirA project targets around 56 million passengers and 39,000 employees in the airport areas of Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw, Milan, Stuttgart, Dubrovnik and Poznan. LAirA works on 7 key thematic areas: electric mobility, air-rail links, walking and cycling, shared mobility, information technology systems, wayfinding and road public transport. The LAirA partners prepared action plans on these thematic areas. On 23 January, an interactive session will be organised around the action plans and participants will have the chance to directly engage with the responsible LAirA partners.DRAFT AGENDA – 23 January (more information will follow early January):
