Léa Bodossian, Outgoing Secretary General
Léa Bodossian has been the ARC Secretary General since January 2011. Before that, she spent a significant part of her career dealing with aviation issues, especially in the European Aviation Safety Agency and in the European Commission. Léa also managed regional representations in Brussels in the early 2000’s.
By training, she is a spatial planner and a researcher with a specialisation in economic development nearby airports. She holds Masters Degrees in Spatial planning, Political Science and European Affairs.
Marius Nicolescu, Incoming Secretary General
Sergi Alegre Calero, Director General
Sergi Alegre (PhD) joined ARC as Director General in September 2018. Previously he served for seven years as the President of ARC. At the same time, he was the Vice-Mayor of the City of El Prat where the airport of Barcelona is located. In El Prat, he was responsible for urban planning, mobility and environmental issues for more than twenty years. In his former positions, he has been involved in many European projects, participated in events as a key speaker and dealt with negotiations on airports and aviation issues.
Petra Holm, Administrative Officer
Petra Holm has been working for ARC since May 2014 and is since January 2018 an administrative officer. She is in charge of the day-to-day administration of the ARC secretariat, as well as project administration and reporting. She has previously worked for the European Commission (Secretariat General, EuropeAid, DG Enlargement) and for Clean Sky Joint Undertaking.
She holds an interdisciplinary Master’s degree in human rights and democratisation.
Alexandra Covrig, Project & Communication Officer
Alexandra Covrig has been the ARC Communication Officer since July 2016. She is in charge of digital communication and project communication. She previously worked for a private mass media company and did several communication internships.
Alexandra holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Science and European Studies, being specialised in communication policy and ICTs.
Elena Maximova, Junior Communication Officer
Elena joined the ARC team in December 2017. At the ARC she is mainly responsible for visual communication.
She holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Elena is fluent in English, French and Russian.
Ana García Sainz-Pardo, Research Associate
Ana is the ARC research associate dedicating her time to the ANIMA project. She is an aviation and airport noise specialist. She has been working throughout her career in airport and air transport noise issues with all stakeholders in this field: from air navigation service providers, national civil aviation authorities, national aviation safety agencies, and national environmental authorities. Ana has also been providing environmental impact assessment training, as well as airport noise management classes in several countries around the world. Ana holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering specializing in urbanism, land planning and environment and she also holds a separate degree in law.
